Our Natural Habitat

We raise our two and four-legged cubs in Middleville, MI located in the heart of the Great Lakes Region. Our puppies are raised in our home and are handled daily by our kids and us for the best possible start to socialization and human imprinting. 

​About Bear Paws Bernedoodles

We started our journey when we found our Bernese Mountain Dog, Bear, over 10 years ago. He immediately stole our hearts and we fell in love with this beautiful breed. Our program is named in honor of Bear and represents the impact he has had on our family. After breeding Bernese Mountain dogs for 4 years we kept getting feedback that if they didn't shed so bad they would be the perfect dog! That got me thinking about Bernedoodles. My main goal is to have puppies that don't shed, while maintaining the sweet, lovable, goofy, funny personality of the Bernese Mountain Dog that we loved so much and to help improve the health and longevity. After getting to know the Standard Poodle a little better I realized that they would be a great compliment to the Bernese Mountain dog. They are highly intelligent, athletic, sweet, friendly and goofy. 

Our breeding dogs come from good blood lines, they are health-tested and loving members of a family. Most of our dogs live in a Guardian Home where they receive proper training, care, and love. That gives me the ability to focus my attention to the puppies and their new owners. When you get a Bear Paws puppy I am available for the life of the dog for any questions or concerns you may have.

We welcome anyone to come to our home to see our facility where the puppies are being raised. However, depending on the age of the puppies we may not allow you to handle the puppies if they have not received the proper vaccinations. The health of our dogs and puppies are our number one priority and we appreciate your understanding.

A Fiercely Protective Mama Bear Guards this House

 All of our puppies are raised in our home and handled by people and kids everyday. They come with first round of puppy vaccinations, dewormed, micro-chipped, spay/neuter contract, starter bag of food, and a toy/blanket with mom and sibling scent on it.
Breeding beautiful Bernese Mountain Dogs and Bernedoodles for over a decade, we  focus on healthy, hypoallergenic Bernedoodles - a cross between a “Berner” and a Poodle. With health-tested breeding dogs. ​In efforts to raise our breeding dogs in kennel-free environments, we employ a Guardian Program. This allows our moms and dads to be cared for by families that love and adore them, and still further their fantastic genetic lines.
